Their courage prevailed

The stories about my Grandmothers are from recollections, oral passage and research!  They are happy, sad, inspiring and motivating, but in some strange way that are making me whole as I study and uncover my family's past and embark into my future.

As you can see... tracing ones family the tree starts to branch.  There are two Grandmothers, four Great Grandmothers, eight Great Great Grandmothers and so forth.

The history and  life stories of most African American Women are probably similar in many, many ways.  We are and have been the strength and courage of our family unity and much can be said of our struggles and survivor.  I hope that I speak for the many women that have been unable to compile and put together their life stories and history, but share the commonality.
