Moving forward my new discovery led me to search further
to see if there were any other Boxley's in the Refugio
County area and there were none, so I assumed that these
Boxley's were all related... and they were. This
made my research a lot easier because after linking all
the children to "Louisa" I was then able to start
my search for her descendants and this is where things
started to get exciting. There were 34
grandchildren born to Louisa. I'm not sure how
many died young, but right now it is estimated that
there were at least three. |
The grandchildren pictured above are
from the known children of "Louisa" that my research,
documented sources and oral passage has confirmed.
The Williams are "Sophrona & Rose Emma the children of
Eliza Boxley and
George Williams they had two children; The Boxley's are "Winnie & Elmos" the
children of Mary Connor and
Jeffrey Boxley they had five children; The Scott's are "Oceola
& Annie" the children of Winnie
Boxley and Clay Scott they had two children; The Andersons are
"Ida, Eliza, Mary, Jerry, Louisa, Isaiah and Willie" the
children of Josephine B.
Spriggs and Henry Anderson they had 11
children; and the Spriggs are "Coreen & Ida"
the children of Minnie Anders and David Spriggs
they had 14 children according to "Willie Adams" the
grandson of Dave Spriggs... 94 years old and still
living.
